History of the school
Earlier this school was attached to A/Yakkawewa vidyalaya and about 25 Tamil speaking students from this village, Mahasiyambalagaskada studied there to Tamil medium. The had only a building there Yekkawewa is a Sinhala neighboring village.
After that a person called A.Nagoor Kany a village of Mahasiyambalagaskada, realizing the hardships the student face go to that school, cleared an Aria in the village and shifted the students to that place with the help of the Yekkawewa vidyalaya principal, teachers and the villagers. It had only a cad Jan hut, and nearly about 25 students were there after an year the villagers cleaned an area of land and build a need hat and shifted the students to this place. Now this school is called A/AL-AQSA VIDYALAYA the 1st principal was Mr. Dissanayaka. After that in 1974 a 20×100 permanent building was erected by the government there days there are 3 permanent buildings an ICT lab and temporary building are thre at our school. The are 145 students and seventeen teachers are that in our school. It is now a developing school
